With it's high-lift, low-drag NACA 0011 foil , this is a permanent replacement for your old waterlogged and much-repaired original equipment rudder.
This new rudder design is a direct replacement for your existing rudder and it is necessary to RE-USE YOUR EXISTING GUDGEON HARDWARE
If your existing original equipment rudder gudgeon hardware is damaged beyond re-use, please contact us about replacement gudgeons which may be available. Most Freedom 21 tillers are 1.75" wide at the butt end, this rudder requires a tiller which is 1.5" wide at the butt end.
In most cases, if you ship us your existing tiller, we can plane it to the proper thickness and use your existing tiller hardware to connect it to the new rudder.

New tillers are complete with new stainless steel tiller brackets and bolts, and all drilling and fitting is included when the tiller is ordered at the same time as the rudder, a $79 savings over buying the brackets and drilling labor separately.
